Yoga for Anxiety Yoga and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are integrated in a weekly group to treat anxiety. Sessions include therapeutic techniques to reduce anxiety symptoms, instruction and practice of Asanas and Kriyas, and practice of Kundalini yoga meditations. The practice will include breath-meditation techniques employed by Swami Ram Deva ji Maharaj and the clinically validated yoga protocol for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, conducted at UCSD School of Medicine (Shannahoff-Khalsa, 2005).
Yoga for Couples: Balance, Acknowledgement, and Service This program is offered for intimate partners to develop a yoga practice to strengthen their relationship. Each session consists of a 90 minute format that includes practice in yogic postures (asanas), individual and couples meditations, and therapeutic dialog.
The sessions serve to enhance the partners' relationship through yoga practice and dialog that focuses upon:
* Recreating balance between the partners * Enhancing mutual acknowledgement of the relationship * Being in service to one another
Session include the introduction and practice of classical hatha postures and training in Kundalini yoga meditation.
Yoga for Teens and Twenty-Somethings
This series is an introduction to the practice of yoga for young people between the ages of 18 and 28. Each sessions will include practice in classical postures, breath work, chant and extended meditation.
